Sunday is here again, which means it's time for another look at what the Barracuda folks are up to when we're away from our keyboards. This time we're talking about Tech Twilight, an annual fundraiser for the Hands-On Museum in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The goal of the event is to encourage kids and parents to invest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Barracuda was one of the Lead Sponsors of the event.
As part of our participation in Tech Twilight, we presented the story of Engineering Intern Andrew Guigliano. Andrew toured the Barracuda R&D offices as part of a Pioneer High School Computer Science course about 2 years ago. After this experience he decided to pursue a Computer Science degree at the University of Michigan. During his freshman year, Andrew pursued an internship with us in Quality Assurance on the Barracuda Backup team. Andrew ultimately transitioned to the development team for the Barracuda Message Archiver. He is now a developer on the BMA Android app which has been downloaded over 4000 times. He is also assisting on the Android version of the Barracuda Cloud Control app. In recognition of Andrew's success with us, he received The Dream Maker Award at the Tech Twilight event.

Tech Twilight is now in its sixth year and has more than 30 companies participating in the event. You can get more information about the event at www.techtwilight.org.
Barracuda works with local schools and community organizations to cultivate interest in technology and engineering. Events like Tech Twilight are a fun way for us to show off our success stories.
