In the past 24 hours Barracuda real time protection systems have detected and blocked over 382,000 emails posing as Experian, a credit reporting and monitoring agency. Spammers capitalize on users’ fear of a bad credit score in order to get them to open the infected attachment. Instead of a credit report, the attachment is actually a variant of the Trojan Zbot. Zbot is a keylogger that tracks all of a user's actions and data to send to a command and control center.
